Technology for Producing 2 propylheptanol from Butene
In response to the demand for environmentally friendly plasticizer alcohols and the need for the efficient use of C4 olefins, an innovative technology for producing 2 propylheptanol (2-PH) from butene has been developed. This technology is suitable for a wide range of raw materials, has a high normal/isomeric ratio of valeraldehyde and can be used for aldol condensation reactions without separation. The C10 alcohol produced is highly pure, with a 2-PH content greater than 90.0 wt%, which meets market demand. This technology is environmentally friendly, with low energy consumption and high-value utilisation of mixed C4.
Key Features & Benefits
It has a wide range of adaptable raw materials. It can process 1-butene or mixed butene from cracking, refining, methanol-to-olefin and Fischer–Tropsch synthesis units.
High conversion rate of olefins. The normal and isomeric forms of pentanal can exceed 15, and the product yield is high.
The core product is 2-PH and the intermediate product is pentanal. The production plan can be adjusted flexibly according to market conditions.
